Saturday, Dec 31, New Years Eve Day,  is the last Saturday of the month when we do a Breakfast Social.  This Saturday we will be at  “The Spot” which is located 4508 US 1 St. Augustine near the airport.  (MAP) The Spot opens at 7:30 which is also our normal time to gather for breakfast.

         Let’s finish it off with a bang! Come join us one and all for our annual Christmas Party

Tuesday – December 6th – Brisky’s BBQ Resturant

6 pm

It will be a buffet at Brisky’s BBQ.  Pulled Pork, Brisket, Turkey and sides plus desert.   $15 for members and $20 for guests.  Beverages extra.   We will be needing commitments on attendance so that we can give the restaurant a number.  Emails to follow.

SAARS wishes a most Happy and Safe Thanksgiving to all of it members and friends.

The St Augustine Amateur Radio Society will meet this coming Tuesday November 1st at 6:30 PM. The meeting location will be the St. Augustine Airport Conference Center, 4730 Casa Cola Way, St. Augustine. (map). This is the meeting site we had before Covid. We have worked to get it back ever since. Though the Airport board is still working on some details, they have seen fit to make it available again. We will discuss this further at the meeting. I am still working on a program but we will have a full agenda. The most important item is to nominate officers for 2023.

Note the new time. 6:30 pm There have been many calls to move back to the 6:30 start time so that members can go to a restaurant after the meeting if they choose. With the move back into town, that option will be available again.

Saturday (October 29) is the last Saturday of the month when we do a Breakfast Social.  This Saturday we wil be at  “The Spot” which is located 4508 US 1 St. Augustine near the airport.  (MAP) The Spot opens at 7:30 which is also our normal time to gather for breakfast.

The next meeting will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 via Zoom.

The next meeting will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at  the  St. Johns County Fair Grounds, 5840 S.R. 207 Elkton, Florida 32033 Map

… and now for something completely different …

… we will do a cookout/tailgate along with our own “Swap Meet”. The club will provide Brats, Dogs, Burgers, Buns and condiments as well as a small grill to cook stuff on.  Some drinks as well.Bring something that is collecting dust that you would consider selling.  The club will have a collection of junk available for sale for Flea market prices. 

We should have enough but if convenient, it would be great if you could bring one.

Basically a social night and picnic.  Sunset is 7:42 pm so we should have time to do most or all of our event in the evening light and before it gets dark.
