Saturday,  Sept 28th is the last Saturday of the month when we do a Breakfast Social.  This Saturday we will be at  “The Spot” which is located 4508 US 1 St. Augustine near the airport.  (MAP) The Spot opens at 7:30 which is also our normal time to gather for breakfast.

The St Augustine Amateur Radio Society will meet  Tuesday September  3rd at 6:30 PM via Google Meet. Please see Bob’s email for meeting information.

After a short business meeting Bob Sileo, N2PE, will present a program on RF Exposure, resources, and responsibilities.

This weekend is the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend. The St Augustine Amateur Radio Society will be activating the Saint Augustine Lighthouse as N4AUG. Our plan is to setup at 8-8:30 and begin operating 10:00  am Saturday morning and continue until 2:00pm. We will also operate on Sunday from about 10 am – 2pm. Please be sure to wear your SAARS membership ID and club shirt.

Lighthouse weekend is a good opportunity for those that don’t get to operate on HF very often… Technician through Extra. Come join us, operate and have a good ole time.

Presentation on Electromagnetic Emissions Safety by N2PE

DMR programming workshop. We’ve had a number of programming questions come up on DMR over the past few weeks. If you have a radio and you need help to program it, please bring your radio, computer, and programming cable to the meeting and we’ll get you started.

We are conducting the meeting on Wednesday instead of Tuesday due to the on-going venue difficulties. We still plan to conduct the Wednesday night net (albeit a short one) at 7 pm that evening.

When: Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2023. Set up begins Saturday at about 09:30 and operation is from 1400 Saturday to 1700 Sunday (or earlier if we decide to leave earlier) (local time).

The club will be serving lunch on Saturday from about 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm. Other meals and drinks will be on a “bring your own” or ad hoc “food run” basis.

NOTE: Due to the recent challenges in securing a meeting venue we are moving the June 2024 meeting from Tuesday to Wednesday. While we do not intend for this to be a permanent change, future meeting nights will be determined as a venue is secured.
