Welcome

No matter whether you are a new or aspiring amateur radio operator, or an old ham, the St. Augustine Amateur Radio Society (SAARS) welcomes you to Amateur Radio in the nation’s oldest city. St. Augustine has a long and proud tradition when it comes to Amateur Radio. We have been an ARRL affiliated club since July 22, 1980 and we have a place for you!

SAARS members are a diverse group having members who are equally diverse in their various interests and activities in ham radio. We have masters of CW who communicate using Morse Code, QRP or low power specialists, and we have some of the best DX’ers in the country. If your interests are in digital modes we have hams that can help you with that too.

Take a few minutes, visit our site and get acquainted with us. Check in to our weekly phone net on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m (146.625 no tone). Come joins us at one of our Friday lunches, monthly breakfasts or monthly meetings. We’re confident you will enjoy being part of our group and we would love to have you as a SAARS member. Our annual dues are minimal, at only $20.00. Please come join us and help SAARS “keep the excitement of amateur radio going”!
