Winter Field Day 2021 is less than two weeks away!

SAARS members, please check your email for an event message. It contains a survey link that we ask you to complete and submit if you are attending the event. This information will assist our planning.

The Park Manager has kindly agreed to waive the entrance fee to the park for those attending this event. When you enter at the Ranger Station you will need to show your SAARS membership badge and mention that you are attending the Winter Field Day event.

COVID-19 notice: Since we are still in the pandemic we ask that all attendees wear a mask in situations where appropriate distancing is not possible. We will have hand sanitizer, wipes and extra masks available on-site for use throughout the day.

The members of SAARS wish all a very

As a number of you are already aware, the clubs DMR repeater is now live on the air and has a great foot print.  Several members have already made DMR contacts on it using both direct to the repeater as well as hotspot modes to hit it.  We will be looking for some activities to make use of its capabilities.  Our January meeting will feature DMR as well as Winter Field Day for our program.

A big thanks  to Alan Alsobrook(KD4QOF) and Russ Langel (K4HRL) for getting this repeater on the air.  Their efforts have made this possible.  They have both spent time and money to make it a reality and expand the clubs dimensions.

Due to COVID-19, we will not be doing a buffet, you will order and pay for your own food at the counter outside(food truck style). We will be in the Brisky’s dining room and should be reasonably private. They will not be offering any kind of table service, we will be totally on our own.
