The American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure bike ride will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 in St. Johns County.  This is a single day event. The start time for the 65 mile bicycle ride is 8:30am and the finish time is 2:30 pm. Check in for the riders begins at 7:30.

Volunteers are needed and will need to be in position prior to 7:30am.  Now is the time to start signing up to cover the needed Ham Radio Operators positions for this event. We will be staffing the St Johns County EOC, the Start/Finish line located at World Golf Village and 5 Rest Stops along the route. There will be three bicycle routes: a 65 mile route, a 40 mile route and a 12 mile route.

To sign up, go to www.diabetes.org (Volunteers page)and:
    1. click on the “Volunteers” photo block, towards the bottom of the page.
    2. Then click on “Sign up to volunteer today!” link.
    3. Then scroll down to the “Ham Operator” line, go to the right side and click on “Sign Up”.

This is a very quick process. You only need to provide your name, address, phone numbers and emergency contact.

This is a great opportunity to give our support to a valuable cause.
