It’s been another GREAT Year for SAARS
Let’s finish it off with a bang! Come join us one and all for our annual Christmas Party
Tuesday – December 7th – Brisky’s BBQ Resturant
6 pm
State Road 16 @ Hwy. US-1
It will be a buffet at Brisky’s BBQ. Pulled Pork, Brisket, Turkey and sides plus desert. $15 for members and $20 for guests. Beverages extra. We will be needing commitments on attendance so that we can give the restaurant a number. Emails to follow.

This Saturday (27th) is the last Saturday of the month. We will be holding our Last Saturday of the Month Breakfast Social at KeKe’s Breakfast Cafe, 135 Jenkins St, Ste 106, St. Augustine (Cobblestone) (map) at 7:30am. We hope to see you there.
The next meeting will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, November 1, 2021 at the St. Johns County Fair Grounds, 5840 S.R. 207 Elkton, Florida 32033 Map

The official meeting time is 7 to 8:30 but Allen will be there about 6 pm to set up a station to attempt a Bimini contact via SSB or FT8. This will be a mostly informal meeting around the radio. Allen will have his 7300 and an OCF dipole. Anyone else is welcome to bring a rig and or an antenna. Bring something to talk about. Also last but not least, it is time to talk about officers for 2022. I am always open to being replaced and would welcome some new blood. There are plenty of good candidates in our membership.
This Saturday (October) is the last Saturday of the month when we do a Breakfast. This Saturday we be at “The Spot” which is located 4508 US 1 St. Augustine near the airport. (MAP) The Spot opens at 7:30 which is also our normal time to gather for breakfast.

This Saturday (September 25) is the last Saturday of the month when we do a Breakfast. This Saturday we are going to move it from KeKes to “The Spot” which is located 4508 US 1 St. Augustine near the airport. (MAP) The Spot opens at 7:30 which is also our normal time to gather for breakfast.
Hopefully this will not cause too much confusion. We will be in the back room.

On August 21st the St. Augustine Amateur Radio Society will be participating in the ILLW Event. You don’t need to bring any equipment. We will operate from approximately 9:00am until mid-late Saturday afternoon. Operation on Sunday (22nd) is TBA. Come and enjoy amateur radio at the Lighthouse. Please be sure to wear your SAARS membership ID.
Set up will be on Saturday morning starting around 9:00 am. Tear down will be after we stop operating each day.
