Winter Field Day will be held at the St. Johns County Emergency Operations Center at 100 EOC Drive | St. Augustine, FL. (Map)
Saturday operations will be 9am – About 10pm . Formal WFD operations will begin at 2 pm in the afternoon.

We will have a robust power connection to the trailer that will allow us to run most anything we need. The trailer has enough space that we could set up three stations with little problem other than audible noise. It is presumed that at least one of these will be on the permissible digital modes (FT8 is not permissible as its message structure does not fit the required information exchange).

We have a good OCF dipole available in the trailer, but will need some additional antennas. There are some other antennas in the trailer but details are unknown. There are some light poles in the parking lot that could support a dipole. The trees are more like bushes. I think we will be able to figure it out.

Everyone should bring a good chair or two as well as there own snacks and drinks. Many fast food restaurants are close by. Leann has strongly hinted that St Auggies Doggies may take care of us with some food. If she does, we will certainly owe her a debt of gratitude.

After a spirited discussion, it was decided to bump up the meeting time to 11:15. This is because people have been arriving early and the tables usually fill by 11:30.

Come Join us at the St. Augustine Lighthouse

On August 17th and 18th the St. Augustine Amateur Radio Society will be participating in the ILLW Event. You don’t need to bring any equipment. We will operate from approximately 9:00am until 11:00pm on Saturday and 9:00am until mid afternoon on Sunday. Come and enjoy amateur radio at the Lighthouse. Set up will be on Friday August 17th starting around 9:00 am. Tear down will be after we stop operating mid-afternoon Sunday.
